Hi all

Long story... but I managed to damage the armature windings in my CT 22. Does anyone know how to remove the armature from the motor housing? at one end I have a nut, at the other I have the cooling fins (which have two tiny holes in them). I notice that the ceramic brush housing has two screws but I am guessing that I still need to undo the nut without the armature spinning.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Being a tight git I decided that I didn't want to pay £180 for a new motor. for a long time i had suspected that the units are made by Nilfisk (aka Wap, aka Wap Alto). I spoke to Nilfisk Uk who weren't particularly helpful but did put me in contact with www.lvcuk.com . I told LVC that I believed that the same motor is used in the Nilfisk BV 1100 (folowing initial Gogle research), unfortunately as that is an Australian unit they couldn't supply it.

Out of frustration/despiration I turned to Ebay (Germany). With delivery to the UK it has cost about £70. The same motor seems to be used in a number of Nilfisk units, possibly including the Wap Alto Attix 350- 360 + SQ.

I have also since discovered that the antistatic hoses from Nilfisk are significantly cheaper, the only other difference being the fact that are not greeen. In due course I intend to order some from LVC.

As much as I love Festool, the price of some of "their" components are expensive enough to make me look elsewhere. And given the limited stocks held in the UK I will might well get the replacement faster than had i ordered it from Festool (Minden?) UK
