I just added a ct26 to my growing green collection,
and am curious about the hoses.
What benefit is having a non anti-static hose over a anti-static?
Would buying all anti static hoses be the way to go,or is there a reason to get a non anti hose?
Thanks,Charlie

There is no real benefit of having the non-AS hose over the AS hose. Only benefit they have is they are cheaper and they are a bit more flexible. You have to judge for yourself how valuable that is to you.

I started off using my TS55 with a shopvac and a non-AS hose, and never noticed any build-up.  Since I got the CT, though, I have only used AS hoses with it when hooked up to tools.  The only time I really notice the downside of a non AS hose (but this is with my shopvac) is when I'm running a tool continuously for long periods of time -- enough for sawdust to start building up on the hose.  But for me this only really happens with the router table.

The AS hoses are indeed less flexible than the non AS ones, but on the plus side they take abuse really well without compromising the structure.

If you're worried about cost, you can get a Bosch AS hose for the price of Festool's non-AS one.  Haven't personally used it, but have heard positive things.

I have a Milwaukee & a Fein Turbo with non-AS hose. When vacuuming around the table saw, band saw, jointer etc, whenever I touch any metal part of those tools I'll always get a shock. Not just once, but multiple times. When using the CT 22 or Midi with AS hose for the same purpose...nada.
