CT Midi and the CMS Router table "Y" hose.

The "Y" hose from the CMS Router router table does not fit into the top rear corner input port on the CT-Midi.

Is there a Festool adapter that will fix this?  I can use an old hose from a Rigid Vac but that's a kludge and I want to get rid of the hose.

Thanks

If the 'Y' is the same as the regular Festool 'Y' 452898 I was able to fit it wedged in at a slight angle. Not sure if it was sealed well enough though. But I think a simple extension made with a  connecting sleeve 493047 and short piece of tubing would make an easy and non- "kludgy" connection.

499196 does not show up in a FestoolUSA search.
Perhaps it's a UK part

Pretty good idea (493047) Seth.  I think I'd need at least 2 to clear the top of the Midi.  Perhaps I should just get a Home Depot Rigid vac wand section and use it as a smokestack.
The idea of going to a box store to make my Festool work bugs me.

The smoke stack idea would work but maybe kind of tall with a bunch of leverage.  It think one connector would be enough. I only needed about another inch to be able to put the 'Y' straight in.  I also had it so that one leg of the 'Y' was in the curved cutout shape at the back of the hose garage.

Hello all. I am having the same problem. I cannot connect the "Y" hose part of my CS70 to my CT Midi vacuum.

I see the solution here on the page. I live in Athens, Greece. I have no idea where to get a chunk of rigid tubing. I could order it from another country but i would need to know the specific part number. If any can please help with that, I would be very appreciative. It would  [eek] to order a part, pay for shipping, receive it weeks later and it be the wrong part.

Hi,

I am pretty sure that the "rigid" tubing in the post above is the brand Rigid which is Home Depot's brand. But You could use any brand of  shop vac hose / tuning that will do the job. So maybe that is something you could get in Greece?

Michael, Garry gave the right answer in the 2nd post of this thread:

If you're ordering it from abroad, I can recommend the German company Gerschwitz, very big and good Festool dealer, great service, well stocked and cheaper than the rest. Link to 499196

Hi

If you need a "quick fix" take off the hose garage on your MIDI. Lift the top off, turn it upside down, undo the four torx screws, remove the garage.  [smile]
