CT Midi hose garage compatiblity

I replaced the old style garage with part no 499748 ( t-loc).
I had a mishap and cracked it. Can I use  part no. 500118 garage to replace the broken black part, or must I buy another complete unit 499748 ( black part, plus white part w/ handle, etc.)?

The way I read it, if you already have the T lock garage, then you only need to replace the garage part no. 500118.

Or glue it back together and reinforce it with some backing material. You would need to find the solvent that works though. Someone probably knows what to use. Just a thought...
