CT Mini or Midi with UDD - Can you adapt a Boom Arm to fit

I have a CT Mini with a UDD.  I've thought that a Boom Arm would make it easier to sand but, out of the box I know the boom arm won't fit on a CT Mini or Midi.  I was wondering if there was a way to utilize the UDD as a support for the boom arm.  I've never seen a Boom Arm in person.  None of the dealers I've ever visited have had one on display so it is difficult to know whether this is in any way possible.

Any ideas would be welcome.  If someone has managed to make this work I'd love to see pictures.

Thanks!

I believe the new T-lock mini and midi's have holes in the back for something.  Maybe the handle will fit the holes?  If so, the boom arm should work, but it may make the smaller vacs unstable.  Although, the boom arm does come with stabilizers.

First step is to check the new t-lock vacs for the holes in back and then see if they line up with the bracket for the handle.

Thanks for the idea.  Unfortunately my CT Mini is the older classic style.

I think the Mini and Midi are too small and don't have the wheel span or strength to easily adapt the boom arm to them.  I have mine on a CT26 and it is easy to tip if you don't use the outriggers or watch how far to the side it sways.

You could certainly make a platform to attach to the top of the Vac where the Systainers sit and build up on there with PvC pipe.  Search the forum for home made boom arm and see if you find ideas.  I know there have been several that have been done.  The UDD does take up a fair amount of room so you will need to adapt that as I don't recall seeing one with a home custom boom arm.

Thanks neilc.  I'm hoping that there is someone with a UDD and custom made boom arm and they will chime in.
