Hi all, let me say that I’ve loved my ct 36 since I purchased it several years ago, the cost was a tough pill to swallow but after using it I forgot about the high cost. The only problem I had with it was that I kept taking it from my van to use in my shop plus it was big and heavy(once the bAg started to fill up), so I decided to leave the 36 in my shop and buy a mini to fit in the van nicely with all my systainers. The mini fits in beautifully, the trouble I’m having and I’m not sure if it’s somehow my fault or if the unit is faulty or if its just poorly designed but I have trouble with a lot of dust getting by the bag and plugging the filter. In all the time owning my 36 I’ve never had to clean the filter, I’ve pulled it out often and checked it but it’s always clean nothing gets by the bag, my mini is always dirty when I open it, the filter is always plugged and I’m always struggling to maintain a strong suction, especially compared to my 36. To be honest I hate the mini, it pisses me off and don’t know if it’s just a piece of garbage or if it’s just not suited for my work? Also I’m using the long life bag, I bought it very quickly after finding how little the mini holds

Unless you are somehow fitting the bag incorrectly, my guess would be a fault with the filter cleaning mechanism/lever. I believe it alters the airflow in the vac, somehow cleaning the filter, and maybe it's stuck in position allowing incorrect airflow?

Definitely something wrong there, my colleagues have them, and never suffer this.
Are you still on the first bag, or does it persist after replacing the bag?
Could be a small tare in in bag?

Which Mini do you have, the new one or the old one?

I have had several Mini's and a Midi of the old type for many years and not once was the filter dirty.

The new Mini is totally different though, maybe Festool's new design is not as tight.
