Good Evening All,
I am new to the forum and just received my first Festool tool, the CT15 dust extractor. The dust extractor will live at my bench, and will primarily be used with my corded Makita track saw, but some other tools as well both corded and cordless. I have attached a power strip to the bench and run that to the extractor so that I don't have to worry about unplugging tools, just swap the hose. I was hoping to be able to use my fast cap remote to start the extractor for cordless tools, for those unfamiliar it has a reviever that goes between the outlet and a vacuum to be able to start. I was unable to make it work with the CT15, tried plugging it in and the remote signals the receiver, but nothing happens with the extractor both in the manual/auto setting. The remote is working as it sends the correct signal, but this does nothing to turn on the extractor. I was curious if anyone has ever tried this combo or has a suggestion for a work around to use a remote as it would be very convenient if I am using a cordless tool, or just want to clean the bench off. I am aware blue tooth is not available on the CT15 and the Midi or other models with bluetooth would have been a better alternative to use the Festool remote, but I wanted to stick with the cheaper extractor. Any input would be welcome, thank you in advance.
