CT22 Auto not Stopping

I have an CT22.  The Auto feature works fine to start up the vacuum when the other tool starts, but when the other tool is turned off, the CT22 doesn't turn off.  I have to turn it off manually.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?  Other than this problem, the CT22 works great.

Thanks.

Puzzling.  What about if you start the tool/vac up & then unplug the tool from the vac.  Does it run on still?  If so, then the problem's likely in the auto module of the vac.  If not, then there may be some issue with your tool or its cable.

I will try that, but since it happens with my Kapex, TS55. and a Porter Cable sander, so I suspect it isn't the tool.  Is it possible to replace the auto-module of the Vac?

Yes, without dramas, however for peace of mind it would be better done by an appliance or tool specialist.  Although I've never actually vivisected my own CT22, I'm guessing that the actual module would be either precisely or at best a close copy of Kemo's German multivolt M103N Master/Slave switch module.

I had an old Festo SR5E (made by Nilfisk Alto Wap) extractor stolen, so made my own clone out of a cheap second hand manual Wap & a Kemo module.  The result is essentially indistinguishable with either the old Festo or new(er) Festool Extractors.
