I have just bought the Festool CT22 extractor (110v UK) Looking it over on the 110v outlet it says 500w max? is this right? What can i connect to that? any help before i send it back.

Cheers John

Here in the US, a normal wall receptacle circuit is rated 15 amps max at 120 volts for short term. To meet UL listing, the total item (s) being plugged in can not be over 1500 watts rating I believe. The vac has a power draw rating around 1000 watts leaving 500. In reality, the vac does not draw 1000 watts continuous. My CT33 with my 15 amp rated miter saw plugged in does not trip a 15 amp breaker. Power tools are labeled with absolute max power draw and normally only draw that on powerup.

Here we go again.... [big grin]

Pretends its not there(the 500W max). You will have no issues with normal power tools.

Unless you're plugging your 1800W hairdryer into the vac, you shouldn't have a problem.
