CT22 sudden death

My CT22 vaccuum suddenly stopped, just as if the plug had been pulled.  It wasn't hot, noisy, vibrating or under any particular stress.  But everything is dead.  Is there an internal fuse or breaker?  How do I disassemble the hinge mechanism so I can get at the wiring to check continuity?

If is most likely the motor bushes. Give the vac a gentle jerk, that may give it a temporary revival. If not and in any case very soon you, will need to replace bushes.

Had a similar experience with mine around 3 months ago.
