CT26 and water (Again)

A few months ago I vacumed some crap off a pool cover (some leaves and mostly swamp water).
The machine was shutting itself off after short order. Pretty much as any of the water managed to hit the sensor. Then it would not start up until I rinsed the sensor area.

A couple of days ago I was trying to suck up bicarbo of soda water and I was able to get about 1/2 gallon there once, and about 5-10 seconds after that (Maybe a cup). That was even after rinsing the sensor area .

Called the toll free number and left the name and number but no call back. Maybe they are back next week.
Does anyone else have the machine give them grief on a such a simple task?

Have you tried to reduce the suction on your CT so that the water doesn't get sucked into the container as fast. The Ct extractors have a very powerful turbine, and if the water is sucked into the container can prematurely cut the machine off.
Maybe try this as it will greatly reduce the splashing inside the container.

Well today I put tape over the top of the vent to the sensor.
I was whistling Sonny-n-Cher's Gypsyes trmps and theives but putting bitches moans and complaints to the tune.
Festool sent me an RMA type of  form to send the top of the unit in.
(Me thinking it is the bottom)

About 2 minutes in with a floor of water the mongrel shuts off.
I pull out the volt meter, The mongrel has a flat battery, so I go on the hunt for + screw driver...
Finally I free back of the volt meter, and retract the 9V.
Put tongue to the one of the the 9V and barely a bitter taste.
Not to worry... I root around in the the Mrs (Kitchen) drawer with the batteries like a truffle pig.
Bingo!
Battery to tongue and no volt.
Search for keys, and head to the shoppes.

Generally the three terminals from left to right looking at it from the hose end I call A, B and C.
Even when the mongrel is cutting out I am getting 3 MOhms (Mega-Ohms) between A and B and more to A/C (6+ at A/C) and B/C is generally even higher.
So it cuts out, I turn it off and turn it on and it starts... It runs for 20 seconds and repeats the process.

Started coutting out at:
A/B = 4 MOhms
A/C = 12 MOhms
B/C = 18 MOhms

And interestingly when I turn the speed down it seems to start and run better than full speed. So I am not sure if you were smart or lucky - but I liked the advise none the less...

I think it may be the top half and will post it off next week. I think they were right and probably know what the issue is.

Yeah - I like to paint a visual picture (Actually I am not sure a picture can be anything but visual).

The other thing with the bitchs-moans-and complaints I forgot to mention is the damned hos...
When I am vacuuming with the wand and either the squeegee or the brush, or with the DX93 on it, or w/a grinder. I always get a whoosh-to-high-pitched, and turn around and see that the hose got kinked.

Is there any good way around it?

I wind the hose into the top of the CT-26 and so it has a natural coil to it. Kind of like a telephone cord getting tangled up if anyone recalls pre cordless phones.

I waited to finish the dry work, and the vacuum was sent in a month and a half ago or two.
They ended up shipping it to the shop I purchased it from, which was too far to drive to.
Last Wednesday (21 May) I had a note on the door, picked it up Thursday and tested it today (Sunday).

I ran 2 loads of water into it which cleans the inside of the hose >[cool]<
All sorted out!
