In another thread, someone commented about the weak suction when the CT26 was used with a floor fitting. I came across a shop tip in the 2021 summer issue of Family Handyman that uses a floor fitting with a dustpan. I fashioned a similar dustpan using some shop vac tubes and a cut-off hose.

I have not had a chance to use the modified dustpan yet. I made a huge pile of shavings a couple of weeks ago, but it had been sent for composting already.

The suction of the Festool CT is not the same then a standard shop vac. People expect a better suction because you pay more for the festool. They do not take into account the variable speed and how good the suction is when sanding. Let us know how it goes  [thumbs up]
