CT26 hose broke :(

the hose from my CT26 fell out today. The little plastic end stayed inside, and the raw hose came out. Darn! I'm about 2 weeks outside of the 2 year warranty too.

Is there a quick way to remove the "end" and screw it back onto the hose? or is something broken?

I have a lot of domino/kapex/sanding to do over the weekend and I don't want to be stuck. In a pinch I'll duct tape it back on, but that's not a permanent solution, I'd rather it be correct.
