Today my 26 just started acting weird.  I didn't think much of it. Till I went to unplug it. The plug was melted like nothing ivermectin ever seen. The vac is less than 9 months old, and used very sparingly so far.  Ay suggestions??

Just contact Festool (Shanes telephone number is listed under his FOG picture), they always seems ready and willing to assist.

A melted plug is actually a sign of a bad receptacle (outlet). This should be looked at right away, because it can pose a fire hazard for the home or shop (where ever this is located). With the amount of heat that you already know was generated, the outlet should automatically be replaced. That not withstanding, the two areas where this heating can originate is from worn terminals inside the receptacle and also from a loose connection to the wires behind the receptacle.

I agree with Rick but there is a chance it could have been caused by faulty connection internally on festools plug. Regardless both need replaced at this point.
