CT33 vac AC port and auto mode problem

The power jack on my CT33 is a little funky.    It's used very lightly and yet doesn't always come on in auto mode when used with my (non-Festool) sanders.

My PC333 random orbit sander is iffy.  Sometimes it comes on, sometimes it doesn't when plugged into the tool power jack on the CT.  Yet the sander runs fine and with no issues plugged to the wall.  And my new DW D26453 random orbit sander simply doesn't come on at all when plugged into the CT's port.  Nada.  Yet it also works just fine when plugged into a wall outlet/plug strip.   

But yet...  no issues whatsoever when used with my Domino.

Strange.  Is anyone else experiencing this kind of problem?
