CT36 Auto Clean dust issue

I've started to notice when my 36ac "knocks" there is some visible dust that exits it from the side vents. I have tried putting a new main filter in place and using compressed air to do a general cleaning but have not seen any improvement.

Is there a secondary filter buried within that I can clean?

Thanks

The AC filter is more corse than the hepa ones. When cleaning the filter, finer particles can make it though the clean filter. Unfortunately, a hepa filter cannot be fitted to the AC unit. Bosch has an AC dust collector than can use both kinds of filters but warns that using AC on a hepa filter could damage the filter. I'd assume this is the reason festool chose to not allow a hepa filter to be fit onto the AC unit.

Maybe I should have clarified that the amount of dust being kicked out of the dc has greatly increased over the last few months. Much more then the prior 3 years of usage.  [unsure]

I remembered reading something like this before.  After a search I found the thread mentioning is issue, CT36AC parts diagram.  I'm not sure if you're having the same problem with the gasket but it's a place to start.  Good luck.
