CT36 Owners w/boom arm, where do you wrap vac power cord cable?

I'm a festool newbie, but I must say I'm a little disappointed in how festool dealt with modifying their boom arm to the newer CT36 vac.  With the different part numbers, I figured there was a redesign between the old and new vacs.  However, unlike the older vac version, there isn't a way for the part that held the vac power cable to be attached (at least I can't see a way).  The instructions don't even tell you to remove the old power cord/cable holder.  You have to figure that out yourself when you try to figure out how to install the metal brace with two rubber ends.  I bought my CT36 about a month ago and I loved it, then I bought the boom arm, which is why I had the power cord holder on the first place (which I like).

Is there a different part number for a power cord holder that's supposed to be compatible with the C36 w/ boom arm attachment?  Am I missing something here?  It looks like in the older vacs, the power cord holder was built to accomodate a boom arm.  Couldn't festool have provided a replacement or designed the initial power cord better?

I guess finding something not to like about festools was something bound to happen.  Just thought it would be much later in my festool experience....

Forgot to ad, I have an Onida Ultimate Dust Deputy attached on top, so its difficult to access the hose caddy to store the power cord....

Thanks in advance for any help / advice...

You are correct about the cord wrap needing to be removed to properly mount the boom arm and no longer having a cord wrap.  I usually just wrap it around the handle.  Not thought out well, but who to blame?  Could be the typical engineers/design team versus accountants.  Could be just the engineers/design team.

On CT36 I had the same exact issue. MY solution is to coil the excess cord length and then hang it on my small sized tool hook. Although it is not as elegant as the original cord wrap holding device it works and thus the cord does not have to reside on the floor of the shop. Simple and no added cost!

Thanks Ken and Tom.  Right now I'm draping the coiled power cord in the tool hook.  At first I thought I MUST be missing something, since festools are usually really well designed.  Seemed like a design oversight, which is something I was not expecting from festool...

Guess those festool designers ARE human after all.... ;D

I recently purchased the boom arm for my CT26 vac.  It's a great improvement when using tools such as sanders.
Unfortunately I needed to remove the storage cable unit when installing the boom arm.  I rationalised it as trade off - improved ergonomics versus a lose in storage.  It's probably less of an issue for me as my vac is usually connected to the power supply.

Yeh same problem there is nothing. I did start to modify the cord mount bracket, but have never finished. My idea was to sand it flat on my belt sander, curve the inside of it and mount it up higher sideways on the Ct boom arm. Should work pretty slick if I ever finish.
thx
