Hello frstool people  [smile]

I'm from the UK and I'm quite new to festool. I purchased a secondhand 240V CTL MIDI extractor and a new RTS 400 REQ - Absolutely love them, they have become invaluable in my quest to re sand every oak door in the house.

Unfortunately, I had a young lad working for me who fell off a small platform and smashed the top of the CTL MIDI into many pieces! I'm now looking for a replacement, it's just the dark blue bit that houses the hose and cable when not in use. It still works fine but its just so annoying! With it being the older model will I be able to find one?

Thanks very much people

Hello,

I think my model number is 498 248

That doesn't seem to be listed under compatible numbers

Thankyou very much for looking for me through. Any other ideas?

The Midi (mark I) top has been updated. I think the older part you reference to is out of stock, but its replacement fits. Look it up in EKAT, Festool Spare Parts Catalog (link under Additional Websites).

When they introduced the new top with T-Loc, they not just replaced the black part, but also updated the grey part. If you look at the pictures, the curve between both parts runs the other way around now.

Now you can only buy the replacement part with the T-Lock, the older one is not available anymore.

So if you have an older model Midi, you have to replace both the black and the grey part. If you have the newer with T-Loc you only have to buy the black part.

Hi, Just checked any my Festool technician states that the grey part is included with the black "Hose garage".

We replace a lot of these! [embarassed]
