Hi all, i know this has been spoken about before.
I recently went to the roadshow to have a look at a ctl26,  I already have a midi, had for over 4 yrs its getting a bit tatty and it gets full too quick. I got it at the same time as my ts55 and kapex, didn't get ctl26 at the time because of budget.
Spoke to the rep who I know quite well about the ctl26, he said it is more powerful than a midi. BUT it has been said on FOG that they are the same??
Here is copy of festool spec for midi

Notice the airflow is different,am I understanding this right?

Anyway I got the ctl26 used my £50 voucher.

I do think it has a bit more suction than a midi.

I was concerned that it would be awkward to get around site compared to the midi, but when you've got a couple of systainers on top it wheels around quite easily.

Anyway, I am pleased with it.

As of a two years (or so) the Midi and Mini vacs were upgraded to have the same (for all practical purposes) suction as the bigger vacs.  Your four year old Midi has less suction than the CT26 and the current Midi/Mini vacs.

It has indeed been said on the FOG the suction is the same between both vacs. And that's because when Festool introduced the upgraded Mini, Festool gave the specs of the Mini as 3900 l/min. You could read those numbers on their various websites.

Only later did Festool adjust the specs to 3700 l/min. But in the mean time it became a bit of a habit here to say both are the same. And I agree with Brice, the difference is so small (~5%), you're never going to notice it.

The older Mini had 2800 l/min suction, almost 30% less than the CT 26. That's a very noticeable difference.
