CTL26E won´t start

Hey!

My CTL26E does not want to start anymore. But there is voltage in the electrical outlet in the vacuum cleaner. Are there any common errors to troubleshoot first?

From what you wrote it sound like the tool isnt coming on when you try to use it.

For the Tool.

1) Check plug it cord make sure its plugged into the tool, remove it and replace it ensure its locked in the tool

2) Try a different plug it cord

3) make sure the prongs of the plug it cord that plugs into the CT fit securely maybe squeeze them together a tad

4) make sure the plug it connector on the tool isnt burnt ( had it happen before on my RO150 Festool Service had to replace it.)

5) call festool Service

For the CT:

1) Make sure its plugged into a outlet

2) Check the Switch turn it on manual see it if it comes on.

3) Check the outlet yer plugging it into

4) Plug it into a different outlet

5) Check the plug on the cable

6) Call Festool Service

Is the bag full?

The bag being full won't stop it. I have foolishly neglected mine for too long a time or two and what happens is that it will fill up solid, like a big brick, but still keep sucking. I have had mine get so bad that it filled the hose, clear up to the tool end! It was still trying to pull in chips, but they didn't have anywhere to go. It took longer to unclog the hose than it did to change the bag.
Speaking of which, I need to check that first thing Monday morning.

My ctl 26 died last week and I took it apart. It was the brushes that where failing. Waiting for new to install. I bought the Ctl 26 in 2009

My money's on the above suggestion - brushes.

The CTL is from 2018, is it possible that is the brushes is the problem?
