**Hello everyone,**

I’m running into an issue with my **Festool CTL 48 AC**. When I set it to *Auto*, it powers on straight away and just keeps running. It has the Bluetooth button, and if I press it the extractor briefly slows down as if it’s about to switch off, but then ramps right back up again.

Luckily, I also have a **CTM 36**, so I swapped the faceplate over to check whether the problem might be with the plug socket, Bluetooth controller, or main power switch—but everything behaves exactly the same.

Has anyone come across this before? Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated!

Do you want me to make this sound more like a forum post (casual/help-seeking) or more professional/technical (for Festool service or repair groups)?

I hope that you have contacted Festool about your issue, but somehow I am going to guess that this post was AI generated. The last line pretty much gives it away.

It's not ai generated... I'm still waiting for a response but nothing... I'm not entirely sure why you'd say the last line gives it away... not a very helpful response..

Try it on a different mains circuit, or better another site. The panel detects current being drawn and perhaps you have some sort of fault. I'm not familiar with US single phase but swapped Live/Neutral, swapped Neutral/Earth, etc

I must admit I immediately thought it was AI as the query was written twice, the 2nd time with a few words in bold.
