Lady had this cabinet that had a cut of for a 37" old fashioned tv (lol)  and wanted a bar built into it.

So I made flipper doors to match existing doors. made wine glasses holders and installed lights and a mirror in the back.  Came out pretty good.

It was so funny when I was first there to design and discuss the job.  as we are talking she wanted a small bar when friends are over and watching tv.  she wanted slots to hold wine glasses.... she said sorta like these.... we walked 4o steps to the living room and she opened up double doors about 4' high and 3' wide and there was another huge bar full of glasses about 50-60 booze etc.

I am thinking wtf does she need another bar 40 steps away in the attached other room..... oh well money in my pocket to buy more festools !

I guess when the wine is flowing, you want the wine to be flowing with multiple bars...

Nicely done in matching the existing details.  I like the inset doors.

Curious how you made the wine glass holder bevels?  is that just two bevels on a table saw and then the center stand-off glued to it to create the rack?

Did you install a switch or do the lights turn on with the doors opening?

Thanks for posting -

one piece of wood  1x3 (exactly 3")  set bevel to 7 degrees on the table saw with a 1 1/4" height ran through each side.. then ran it with the blade 1/4" high to cut off the bevel pieces.

the last set I made I did the 2 piece and it was not that good.  this way was much better.

the lights are an under cabinet little 2" round light wired up through the upper and down the back and then plugged into the plub in the bottom cab.  then it has a round touch pad that is stuck on the inside of the cab... touch it on low med high then off.  the same lights I use for built ins.

thank you
