Hi, I wanted to share a cue cabinet I built and installed for a customer. Cabinet is built using black walnut for the carcass and trim and birdseye maple for the doors. Inlay for the top trim is curly maple with walnut in the center. Sliding dovetails for the joinery is used throughout the build. Overall height is 42 1/8" x 6" deep in center breakout section x 42" wide. Side sections are 4 1/4" deep. All the doors have no door handles and use touch latches to open the doors. French cleat is what I used to hang the cabinet. For the finish I used danish oil and then sprayed polycrylic. I regret not taking photos during the beginning of the build. Thanks for looking.

Beautiful work and top notch craftsman ship.  I really like the choices of wood and the maple inlay accents in the upper part really add a nice touch.  Did you use pre milled crown or did you build that profile up by yourself.  Cool detail.

Thank you! I actually made my profiles by stacking two 3/4" moldings for the profile.

Very nice.  Good continuous grain across the top, nice design.

Thank you!

Nice stuff...nice build...nice choice of wood varieties...nice details...everything is just plain nice.  [big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

Also love the idea of an oiled finish that’s been cleared over the top.  [cool]

That is one beautiful cabinet!  When people mention super quality work shown here over all the years, yours should be included in that portfolio IMHO.

I’m not a traditional guy, contemporary or modern is more my thing, however craftsmanship like you’ve demonstrated is timeless...besides, having a moniker of duc996 is a good thing...you own one?

😎 My neighbor has one along with an 1100 Monster and a Guzzi 850 Le Mans. I’m almost 70 and I can last for only 30 minutes, my neighbor is 50 and he can only last for 60 minutes. It’s definitely a younger persons bike. It’s still a sweet ride though.

Wow! That looks amazing. You definitely do some fine work. The inlay work is outstanding!
