I'm new to Festool. I'm running an RO90 attached to CT26 in auto mode. Every so often the DC will quit for about 1 to 1/2 second then restart. The RO90 continues to run during this brief time. I'm hooked up directly to 20 amp circuit, so there shouldn't be any line issues. Im using the Sander continuously to remove paint, and this issue with the DC will happen sometimes after 3 minutes of use or not until 10 min of use. There's no rhyme or reason to when/if it happens. The whole system is less than 2 weeks old. Is this normal?

Hi,
My Midi sometimes Cuts out for a few Seconds. I thought at the Start it was the brushes. Then i changed the dust bag and it works again. I think they have a sort of sensor for flowrate or overheating. Change or Empty the bag and then See if you Need the service people.
All the best
Pip

Overheating should shut it down longer till it starts again, also (IIRC) the CT 26 (and bigger, they only differ in the dust bin) have an extra air path to cool the motor. Airflow sensor is only in the M rated models.

I'm at a loss how changing the bag would remove such intermittent shutoffs, unless the vibration/nudges from taking of the head (to reach the bag) connected a not that connected connection somewhere...

Check the filters. I know its relatively new and this trouble should not be expected, but you have been removing paint.

Don't bother with service.

Return it to the dealer and get a new one.  Let them and Festool sort it out on their time.

Thanks everyone. My dealer swapped the unit out for a new one. Doesn't seem to be any issues now.

Bravo, this is one of the big upsides to choosing Festool and paying premimum prices.
