Hey guys, just registered to chime in with some questions to clarify on this very helpful topic - hopefully not derail.
Small shop here also; currently have a MIDI and a CT15 for the ETS, Domino, Track Saw, etc.; and a couple larger HD ShopVacs for general cleanup.
I’m mostly needing dust collection for a table saw (Sawstop Jobsite), possibly my Dewalt DW35 planer (currently blowing directly into a dust right bag), and small router table.
If I understand some of the suggestions here correctly, adding a cyclone (Dust Deputy) in line with one of the extractors could be enough for my needs. The cyclone would capture the majority of material coming off the machines to be emptied more frequently, and the extractor would get the finer material with capacity being less of an issue. And the extractors would provide enough airflow for these basic purposes - especially with a larger hose in one or more of the connections.
Is my understanding here correct? Hope so! I’d have a good solution for basically the cost of the Dust Deputy as opposed to the Laguna PFlux I’m considering, and don’t really have space for.
