Currently I'm in the middle of making two maloof lowback chairs. I've been at them for a year but can't get time for building a house.
The plan is to do three, the first one, in the pictures is to sell. The second my parents will occupy and the third is for myself. They are all similar, have around 300sqm of floor plus about 35m of garage.
If I don't bankrupt myself I plan to build a workshop too.
The only festools used thus far are my hkc55 (which bounced from the ridge down the roof onto the scaffold then onto the ground) bhc and pdc.

Updated picture. It's coming along ok, could do with another pair of hands to push it on. Slaters have started on the farside but the weather has been a little unkind this week and now it's the 2 week Christmas break.

Like the aerial picture, nice house. Are all three of the structures related.  Zoning here in this part of the U.S, would not let them bee that close.

Yes they're similar. The other 2 plots are bigger and the houses are longer but the same floor area. Land is expensive here and even here away from any big city a decent building plot is £100,000 so we get to squeeze them in tight.

I kind of hoped to do more pics but I'm too busy most of the time. But things are coming on.
Block work is complete and it's now getting rendered. Roof is completed. All glazing is in. Drywall is complete upstairs.

So I’ve not been around for quite a while this house is complete and sold and I’ve completed a second for my parents which they now occupy. Here’s a few pics, I guess you guys will be most interested in the stairs.

[member=19325]bigchas[/member] you were right, I am most interested in the stairs which by the way look terrific.  Nice work.  Thanks for sharing.  Merry Christmas!

Every time I go to Scotland I always wonder why the roof line is so low, relative to what I am used to. I am in the USA. This is not a negative but it seems to be a design detail. Is there a reason for this? Great work by the way. Did you post pictures of you Maloof work? I love his work. I had the pleasure of knowing him and find the reasons for people loving his style interesting.

Recently did a tour of his home and workshop Very nice. His long time students offer classes and still make his pieces.

I have no idea why the roof line is so low. On this particular house planning said we could have “room in the roof but it would have to be single storey in appearance so I think the big overhang gave us more useable floor space upstairs but also meant the roofline was lower. We usually only have 8ft high ceilings and no basemen so that might be a factor.

As for the maloof stuff the parts are lying in my spare room waiting for me to get some time 🙄
