Inspired by many of the posts on FOG as well as Paul-Marcel's blog, I put together a custom 2xMFT + Kapex flip stand.  Here's some pics:

Here's a picture of the table with the Kapex in the upright position

I fashioned some leveling screws out of 1/4 20 + a nut + loctite + a washer. Once the Kapex was level, the screws next to those were tightened down.

I threw together a quick Kreg miter fence that is offset 1/4" from the Kapex fence and is clamped down

Once I have a few minutes, I'll make a new fence that has a t-track on the bottom that will accept my Qwas rail dogs to lock it in place

Good times...

Wow, nice job :)  And you did what I wanted to do with my flip table: build a calibrated fence for it.  Mine's on casters so I'd need to rig up a way to lock it to the side of the table repeatably for that to work, but your idea with the rail dogs will work well.

One thing you didn't mention that is apparent from the pictures is that when the table has the Kapex on top, the deck of the Kapex is level to the MFTs so they are your extension wings.  When the Kapex is flipped down, the off-center rotation pin makes the flat outfeed side level with the MFT.

Good times indeed :)

really nice setup!!

it would be nice to see a mft table on the flipside of the fliptable..

I'm trying to get around to starting my MFT and KAPEX workstations and have been reviewing my old notes. I've found quite a few images I'd saved at the time, so where I can, I'm trying to add them back in to the threads where the photos were previously lost.

Hope someone finds this useful and that it's OK with the original authors.
