CXS Clutch Settings?

I know this is a day late for the contest but it's still a legitimate question.

On the CXS when using clutch is the torque setting independent of the high/low setting?

For example: If I set my clutch to 12 on high speed (#2) and then change the gear speed to low (#1) does the torque setting of the clutch stay the same or does is increase proportionally to the gear speed selection? I hope this makes sense.

That's a good question and I don't know the answer because I've never tried it.  I'd assume it would stay the same since it's a mechanical device that sets the resistance independent of the gearing.

It stays the same, at least by my experience.

That was on accident because I rarely use the clutch on any drill.

Sorry, you posted this while I was at lunch and I meant to respond when I got back to the office but got sidetracked. Yes, the clutch setting is independent of gear.
