CXS Drills and Carvex Jigsaws available for Preorder.

Bob,

I plan to get a Carvex and saw on your site that you had a blade assortment. i didn't see that in the Festool catalog.  What blades are included?  Is that a current sku?

Thanks for any information!

Am I correct that the CXS will not have a Eccentric Chuck option/accessory? Or did I just miss it?

Cheers,
Steve

You are correct that there is not an eccentric chuck. The drill fits rather tight into narrow spaces and therefore does not have one. Just the centrotec, keyless and right angle (if purchased as the $275 kit)

Steve,

You are correct, the eccentric chuck is not available for the CXS. It can get soooooi close to the edge it s not needed.

Don't tease me.... [eek] like that.

When faced with a cabinet install that was over 50 cabs and had to to put in slow closers  and when we could not get a hand around the screwdriver and get angle.....grrrr

I had to buy very small B&D screw guns to get into 9 inch wide (OD) cabs to put in slow closers ... I need about 7mm from the top edge of the driver ...even by hand it was too tight and slow. Maybe is too much to ask.  Might be the 90 attachment would do better.

I do a lot of fixing prior installation problems and do the work on site.  mm count!  When doing the same thing in a 30 inch wide cab...not an issue just add a long bit to lessen the angle.

Reality is, I like the CXS and see it as a home run...but I know that I will need  0 tolerance many time in the life of any Festool product. What I would give for a 90 degree that would take an eccentric chuck.

Cheers,
Steve
