Does anyone know if Festool is planning on a electronic update or some sort of redesign for the cxs this year? My local Festool dealer was under the impression that they are but I wanted to know for sure. I want to buy a cxs but will hold off if something is going to change.

Well it's been updated down under. We have the same as the European model. Not a radical redesign it still has a brushed motor but now has the 2.6amp batteries and a 10mm chuck.

i bought a Txs a couple of days ago.. great little drill, but i swear i read its now got the ec tec brushless and 2.6amp battery

Upgraded battery. But not brushless

The new CXS/TXS Li 2.6 Ah also have a battery level indicator build in the LED light.
And much smaller batteries which suits also the former CXS.
It's unbelievable how tiny these new batteries are.

Looks nice the 90th Anniversary Special Edition CXS cordless drill.
But it's only the front plate with the autograph of Gottlieb Stoll, the founder of the company and the SE black systainer.

I'd rather have the bit storage vs the signature plate. Case is awesome

I'll take one! [big grin]

I was planning to buy my 7, soon to be 8 year old son his own CXS. So... I'll take the 90th Anniversary model if it becomes available in the USA, and give my son my existing CXS (which I absolutely LOVE!).

Cheers,

Frank

Thats a great idea Frank, it's a tool he can use right away and he'll love it for a very long time.
