Is it just me, or are all Systainer³ clear attic flaps scuffed up?

I purchased two tools that came in Systainer³s with the clear attic flaps.

In both cases, the attic flaps are scuffed, not enough that you can't see through them but if you look at them at an angle in light, they're nasty.

In the case of one, a CXS 18, Festool had me exchange the entire tool through my dealer, only to find the replacement was also scuffed in a different way.

I get that's what's going to happen to a sheet of clear plastic, and of course Festool doesn't make the flaps available (part number 10694278 has no associated price in EKAT.)

I'm surprised that they don't come with a removable piece of protective film, honestly.

That said, how long before they'd look like that from normal use anyway?

Where I live I can find 10694278, which actually seems a subassembly of 18 & 19 together, for around €20 - €25

I guess it comes down to each individual in the chain handling the Systainers. Everything else would take the same abuse without showing.

What kind of scuffs are we talking about anyway? Got pictures? :D

They look like fingerprints but are not and are across the entire flap.

My only fix would be to buy a whole new DF Systainer³ and swap lids, but I'm not $80 annoyed. 🤣

If your source ships to the US, I'd buy two but I suspect they'd… just get damaged in shipping anyway.
