You guys will shake your heads but maybe there's someone who hasn't noticed this (now) very obvious thing about the cxs systainer insert. There are three spots under the drill body area of the insert to put bits. Such as, oh I don't know, maybe the three new Robertson bits that have been crashing around in there for the last few weeks!  [blink]

I believe all the drill systainers are like that. I know my C12 was.

Yeah....don't feel bad, I had mine for close to a year before I discovered the space under the drill for storage.  I never bothered to lift that insert and so never knew it existed.

Unfortunately these bits spaces don't work worth a crap.  The spaces for bits are fiddly and recesses for tips lets the contents migrate the first chance they get.  I like the extra storage space in my first generation T15 insert, all the rest kinda suck. [unsure]

Same here guys. I've had my CXS for months and just last week realized what those were for!

I love this drill and it's systainer. I've used it on woodworking projects as well as other professionally related projects. For instance, I'm a social worker/therapist and one of the programs I manage is a small home for adolescent teenage girls who experience mental/behavioral health issues. Currently they all are pregnant or on some point in the spectrum of parenting. (that may be unclear but I do not want to elaborate) Unfortunately, those same issues manifest in the home and theft can be an issue. I needed to change out the locks on their rooms. It took an amazingly small amount of time using the CXS. Of course it's just a bunch of lock sets however I saved valuable time and I was better able to devote to more time to, shall we say, clinical issues. This drill and it's kit is a winner in my book.

No, it's not unclear and thanks for the incidental sidebar. Your application of the Festool product is enlightening as is your exposure here to your profession; this world needs more like you, willing and able to take on this task. Godspeed.   [thumbs up]
