Greetings All !!!!! Just purchased the new CXS and I'm really impressed which is rare. This little drill has outright embarrassed my 14.4 Makita an earned a spot next to my Hilti.  [big grin]

Welcome to the forum, LJ! Thanks for your quick impressions of the CXS. We hope to hear more from you. Was the CXS your first Festool?

Thank You and yes the CXS is my first Festool but no where near my last. Hopefully in the next 6mo to 1yr I'll be purchasing the TS-55,CT-26 and the RO-90dx.

Yes, Welcome to the forum. I purchased aTDK-12 a short time ago and am very pleased with it. That purchase came after  an MFT-3.TS-55, and a Mini Dust Extractor. Happy with them all! [smile]

That MFT has also been recently added to my list along with the new to be released C-15. [big grin]

Went to two different jobs today in which the cxs paid for itself.  First job was swapping out drawers and runners with better drawers and runners.  A couple of the openings were so narrow I needed the right angle chuck.  Done!

Second job needed to do some work to a door on a 9" base cabinet.  Removed the chuck and inserted the bit directly into the drill...DONE!

Time saver, money maker, and fun to use.

Enjoy your cxs!

I got mine about a month ago and it's become my favorite drill in the shop.  Can it do what the 18 v drills do, no but it does most of what they do and its a lot lighter and easier to handle.  I'm 66 so my hands are not as strong as they use to be so the lighter weight is really nice.  I was surprised it can handle 90% of the drilling and driving needs.  I would highly recommend this drill.

+1!!!  Mine arrived ten days ago, and already has earned its keep in installing drawer glides inside a set of cabinets.  While I love the C12 I've had for far longer, it will wear me out from holding it sideways inside a cabinet.  The CXS is far better for that purpose, and I really appreciate the LED when I'm trying to hit the screw holes dead center.

Guy Ashley convinced me that the CXS was something I should buy.  I have to say that I really like it in certain situations.  on Thursday, it allowed us to finish a job which I'm not sure we could have finished as quickly or as well, using the stable of cordless tools that we have.

I just received my CXS three nights ago.  Used it to install a slew of slides on two more cabinets for my expanding homemade sysport herd.  Really a comfy driver to hold and so lightweight it's almost silly.  I'm pleased!
Also pleased since I puchased and received a number of WWGoA gift cards for Rockler, and put them towards the CXS.  Festool "on discount" is a treat.  [big grin]

Can't wait 'til the Centrotec set arrives and I can use that and the CXS as my go-to for most tasks.

been doing a lot of ladder work with the cxs lately. the right angle chuck allows me to keep screwing along without moving the ladder as often, or over reach in some uncomfortable and dangerous position. in other words i'm still very impressed......and alive

This li'l feller was a lifesaver this weekend.  Installing baseboards (in my own home), there’s a few sections behind some rather large radiators.  Wayyyy to tight to get a nail gun in there.
But with a small headed trim screw it was just the ticket.  The CXS had no trouble driving the 2” screw into solid oak (plaster and lath under that) at 90 degrees.

For those sharp-eyed folks trying to figure out what's going on here, I have put 1/4" solid Quarter-sawn red oak "veneer" over the existing 3/4" thick solid oak (but abused and with ugly grain).  Here's the final result.  Doing the whole house (~25lf) took me almost a year, making every piece from rough QSRO.  The veneer 7" board, the 2" shoe, and the baseboard cap (to cover both the old baseboard and fit to the wall).
