D36 to D27 hose end adaptors?

Hi,

Has Festool created a decent D36 to D27 adaptor yet?  I have one of those double-ended whip adaptors, but it leaves a lot to be desired.  An adaptor specifically engineered for that purpose would be appreciated.

There is a Festool hose end that fits a D36 hose and fits over 27 mm and into 36 mm tools.

However it restricts the air flow and causes clogging when used with the OF2200 so I went back to a straight D36 hose.

I use a piece of a plastic plumbing drain tail pipe wrapped in conductive aluminum tape so it doesn't interrupt the conductivity path of the hose.  I have found it takes up just the right around of space so the double ended 27mm hose will fit snugly in the 36 mm hose.

I don't have an OF 2200. I use the adapter all the time with sanders and for those it works great allowing you to sand without interference of the stiffness of the 36mm hose.  I just pull off the double ended hose and the plastic piece of pipe to use the 36mm hose with my Kapex.

Another option is to use the end of a Bosch vac005 hose.

It's a more permanent deal though, being as it is a 35mm adapter it's bit tight on the Festool hose. It does fit with some persuading and has the small end that fits the Festool posts.

A few bucks more than the Clarke adapter, and I wouldn't want to take it on and off very much - but may appeal to some none the less.

  Is anyone still offering the stubby hose/ whips that used to be offered here on FOG?  Short section of hose that bridged the two different sizes so you got some flexibility of a 27mm hose before it went into your 36mm hose.  I'm assuming that's what Kodi has now, but I haven't seen them offered in awhile.
