Hi everyone,

I received an email from the Orange County WWing Association advertising an upcoming 2-day workshop with David Marks. I just thought I would pass this along for anyone in So Cal who might be interested. It is October 23rd and 24th (2 full days) and the cost varies from $45 - $90 depending on whether you are a member or not and if you want to go to one or both days. Details can be found by accessing the link below.

Scot,

Anytime you can see David Marks, do it.  I would even skip my wife's funeral if I couldn't reschedule it.  She wouldn't know I wasn't there anyway.    [wink] [wink]

I attended his Bandsaw Class last year here in Denver.  He is truly remarkable both as a woodworker (no, artisan) and as a presenter.  We had about 10 people in the class and he remembered all of our names first time around.  You got the impression he really cared.

Here's hoping she doesn't read the FOG, my friend.

Rick,

She knows I am heartless.

Even though I was just kidding, I am sure that she would believe that there was a bit of truth in what I said.

Neill

By the way, she likes David as well.  One of the few woodworking shows on TV she would watch with me.

Did you guys ever see the interview/shop tour he gave on thewoodwhisperer.com site? Worth a look.

Cheers,
Rick

I cannot wait for the two day seminar... $90 well spent IMHO.  I have been a fan of David Marks for years, but have never had the opportunity to meet him before.  His guilding is simply amazing.

Scot,

If you haven't done so, you can visit his website at djmarks.com.  Great site.  In addition you can sign up for his monthly newsletter.  I have saved all of them since I initially signed up.

All good stuff but the best part is his questions and answers.  Some valuable information there.

Thanks for the tip, Neill...signed up for the newsletter today.  I have been on his site before, but I do not know why I never signed up for his newsletter...I used to love watching his shows -- always neat projects with a different way to build something.  Good stuff.
