Hello,
I have the CT 26, boom arm and ultimate dust deputy.
Bought it from LV in Canada.
There have been many issues with static.
LV sends me this latest upgrade kit from Oneida, antistatic hose and the rest.
Has this proven to solve the problem or not.
Anyone know?

Dan, I'm going to move this thread. The topic has been discussed on the forum. This is not an issue with Festool, but instead with Oneida. I would suggest that you contact them for support.

It may be worth searching and reviewing the existing topics and discussions here.

Hello Shane,
No problem, I expected that. I ran this type of thread before and got no response at all. I read so much about this static and used my CT 26 with this UDD with no tapes or foils or ground, screens or wires and the 26 never failed once. I used the universal cleaning set with the 26 and got jolts galore during the cold dry winter month of January, here in Canada.
I contacted Oneida and their reply was that I should be ok. So what I was trying to do was to see if there were people that had the DD, and had their DC control board damaged supposedly through static, then got the new modified kit from Oneoda and everything is happily ever after. Anyway, I'll just go ahead and install the new upgrade I got and get back to buisness.

Regards,
Dan

Paul,

I did not use any tapes or anything of that nature. Just the DD and the hoses. I sheeted my whole woodworking shop in with it ising the TS55 and never a fail with the 26. I used it all last winter and no problems.
It is one thing to see all these problems occuring, it is something else to see if the fix by Oneida actually is working. That's where my head was with this.
