I'd like to get a 36mm hose, but need it around 25'.  I'm trying to keep the cost down, so non antistatic is no problem.  Besides the 23 footer that Festool has, I'm wondering if there are other makers hoses that will fit the Festool accessories and be cheaper?

The Bosch looks like it would be perfect if only it were available in a length closer to 25'.

Get two Bosch 5m VAC005 non-antistatic hoses for $40 each.  Remove the tool end of one hose and replace it with a Festool 452893 2 1/2" rotating connector at $24.  Connect the two hoses with a Festool 493047 sleeve for $18...and Bob's your Uncle.  You have a 10 meter long hose for $122.

Or...Buy a Festool 452886 Antistatic Hose, 36mm X 7m (1 7/16 inch x 23 ft) for $233.

Festool sell most of their hoses by the metre too, although I'm not sure if there is a maximum length you can specify, or whether it will work out cost effective for you. You can also connect hoses together by changing the hose ends or using couplers.

You might also consider contacting a few central vacuum suppliers as typically their hoses are available in longer lengths; I've seen at least 10M (almost 33ft) advertised so the length you need shouldn't be a problem.

I have the 5 m grey Bosch hose. Great hose for a great price on Amazon.

Cheers. Bryan.

In the USA we can only buy in preset lengths as far as know.

Still getting caught out by regional differences. You'd think I'd of learnt my lesson by now!  [wink]

My 2 1/2" standard shop vac hose fits my CT 26 perfectly and it's actually wider than a 50mm hose. I find it to be a great, cost effective alternative.
