Deal on Centrotec installers kit

I bought a set two weeks ago.  Could return based on thirty day return policy but concerned I would not get another.  I shot the dealer an email asking if I have any valid options to get the discount.  Maybe I do and maybe I don't.....  For those of you that just pulled the trigger and bought the set, you will not be disappointed.

If you bought from us OF COURSE we'll refund you the difference to the sale price.

I vote that this is a mistake on the listing by Festool. The original listing does include both the large countersink and the imperial set which includes the large countersink. It does not really make sense that Festool would have included two of that countersink in the collection. Since the picture includes the centering bit and the set listing does not, I think it is just a case of oversight on the part of Festool. If your go through some of their catalogs carefully, you can find inch dimensions that are incorrect. Mistakes happen.

If Festool wants to pass out extra countersinks, I will take one. However, I do not think that Sean should try to make up for Festool's error. I think Festool should just acknowledge the error and let that be the end of it. These are already reasonable deals, so nobody is really getting hurt by not getting an extra bit of kit.

The 498796 has the 5-15 countersink (which comes in the imperial bit set) as well as the 2-8 countersink that is underneath the insert for the imperial bit set.

So, the 498796 is the only one that comes with the 5-15 and 2-8, all other versions only come with the 2-8.

Thanks Shane.

Yes, turns out it was / is a typo.  Been adjusted.  Sorry about that gentlemen!

I got my kit last night.  Everything was there and it looks nice.  Hopefully I'll get to put it through its paces this weekend.

Mine arrived this AM.  Already put it to work.  Everything is present as expected (like Shane described).  It's really a great deal for what you get.  Anyone used the adapter for keyless chucks on a drill press?  Thinking that may come in handy with the imperial set for some things.

Got mine this afternoon.  Everything is there and looks good.  Thanks Toolnut!

Shane,
You did not acknowledge the point which was raised. The original listing certainly suggested that two of the larger bits would be included since the bit and the set including the bit were both listed separately.

I received my set.....sweet!  Never figured I would spend that much on a drill/driver set.  The drill bits look great.  Extremely sharp!!

Thus, the systainer stacks grow higher, it seems, weekly......if not daily. Thanks to Sean for putting these on sale, simply makes them more affordable and easier to rationalize the decision to purchase versus cost.

Got mine Wednesday.  Used it at the office yesterday to repair the paper cabinet,  that means its a work expense right?

I have not got to drill anything yet, I have never felt such a sharp bit in my life so I cant wait to try it out.

I showed my dad the kit and he asked how much it was, he always gives me crap about the price of festool but seems talk a lot about borrowing stuff as his house gets built...  When I told him how much he actually said "Thats a pretty good deal for some high quality buts and drivers."
