Dealers Take Over the FOG

I realise this post will annoy some, but imagine if we read here every detail regarding [member=13058]Kev[/member] 's  weekly correspondence with Northern Abrasives in Sydney! [/font][/size]  [eek][smile]

A strong argument could be made that we ALREADY have been reading every detail of kev's abrasive correspondence!
...and a fog of sarcasm takes over the thread;  it's all in good PUN, of course...

I don't think it has a negative impact at all a surely don't think it need moderating. The mods really do have better things to do. I'd say "that is my two cents" but I can't. I've been buying too many new Festool products lately.

Abrasive correspondence? Man, we've been reading his entire live story by now.  [wink]

Accordingly, a year from now, FOG will have at least doubled and we will see a lot more buy-in from the great un-washed. Heaven help us....dealers and all. I don't think, even among the wisest on FOG, anyone expected to see Festool sprinkle $50.00 gift certificates out the window. Imagine, each one of those represents a second Festool tool purchase. This is going to be a fun ride from now on.
Greetings from one of the great-unwashed  [big grin] This is my first post on the FOG and the sander deal will be my first Festool purchase. After seeing a finish carpenter using the tracksaw to shorten one of our new interior doors and getting less than perfect results pushing large sheet stock through my table saw, I have been watching a lot of festool videos. Was fully expecting that a TS55 REQ and midi vac were going to be my first purchases, but saw this and couldn't resist. Now to order those or wait until I get the voucher? I'm guessing their just might be other opportunities to use that coupon later  [wink]

You have started down a very steep, slippery, and expensive slope. So yes in a nutshell you will have many opportunities to use that coupon later on a multitude of tools that you will simply must have and will wonder how you ever completed any projects without them.

I speak from experience, trust my wife...lol

Yes, I have spent the last few evenings putting together a long list from the very nice catalog... first the tracksaw and vacuum extractor, next a router and mft table. I'm fascinated by SurFix system - hoping I can get the right pad for this new sander to give it a try on my next project.
