The kapex is ridiculously expensive....but it is worth it in my opinion. Mine is used only in shop. D/C is marginal, but can be improved upon. It has a small footprint and that is a must for me. I don’t mess with the laser, adding a sacrificial fence and zero clearance blade thing helps with tearout.
It is fun to use....."for me".

Thanks for the detailed video.  Someone else with the Bosch Glide will have to comment (I had the GCM12 CM12before getting the Kapex -- square cuts were no problem, but got a lot of deflection on bevel cuts), but I hear you man on the 5 star effect.  People get the tool, make a couple of cuts, and maybe they just want to validate their purchase, or maybe they want to project expertise (people do this with movie reviews all the time), but they immediately go and post a glowing review before they've put the thing through its paces.

BTW -- I didn't realize that you were the person who did the video on the R4512 problem.  I also have that table saw, so that was a really helpful set of of videos -- thanks.

I agree about the blade. The Diablo blades are really bad. Worth $100 or so to get a good blade, a real Freud isn't a bad choice.
Kapex is a solid saw minus the potential motor issues. I have an older Bosch, built like a tank, not the most accurate but the motor is 8+ years old and runs like a champ

Just a plea to keep all this professional, and not to get personal.  EDIT: Additional info deleted at OPs request.

John, that was a very good analysis I was very impressed.

Good work Sergeant. It's posts like this I learn from, you found the problem then showed a fix. Very good !

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

What just happened?
The video was very informative. I hope it comes back. Sergeant,  I was looking forward to seeing a video on a clever design  for the dust collection problem.

[member=5854]Flatsawn[/member] I removed all the videos and posts.  I have no real motivation to share information going forward.  It's bizarre to get harassed by someone who isn't able to understand what it is they're looking it.  Maybe I'll swing back by the forum again sometime but this weird experience has left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm another who found your posts very interesting. Not sure what that other persons problem was, IMO they were not representative of the forum in general.

This makes me sad. I've go no idea what happened here, but please don't take it to heart. The majority of the people on the FOG are very kind, helpful and well meaning. As in life, there's always the exceptions.

[member=59237]TheSergeant[/member] - I was interested in your post/video/findings as well - I have the Glide and haven't experienced what you describe, but there's always more to learn - don't let a single individual get you frustrated, you clearly had something to contribute.
