The deltex no longer appears on the UK website although still available on US and German sites.
Is this the beginning of the end for a fantastic sander? I certainly hope not

welcome flash man
i think its a matter of taste and just habbit which one you use most.
i love my ro90. its probably the tim tayler in me saying MORE POWER

The Deltex is a nice little sander that I use a lot (in fact, I just used mine about 15 minutes ago), but I think that when Fesool introcude the Rotex 90, the end of the Deltex could be predicted.

I`ve tried both. I`m a painter so I use deltas a lot, mostly vertically flattening paint on windows and woodwork. I also need to be one hand only and so the DX is perfect for me. The RO90 is 2 handed operation and I find it a bit unbalanced, a bit cumbersome to continually change direction and angle. I enjoyed the power to take off paint with the rotary action but that`s only with a small area. Mine is going on ebay and I`ll get a RO125 instead (and keep the DX).

I`m guessing that for you woodworkers the 90 much more useful as most of your work is horizontal on a bench.
Getting off topic in my first thread!

I am going to move this topic to the Ask Festool area.  Rather than just assuming that it has been discontinued versus a possible omission on the website, maybe someone at Festool can clarify.  It is the weekend, so there may not be an immediate answer.

I believe someone else asked recently if there were plans to discontinue it.

The answer is no, not as far as I know.

Each country can elect which tools they want to offer. Maybe the UK decided for some reason, possibly the RO 90, that they didn't want to offer the DX 93 any longer. Maybe you can contact them and ask.

I received this email from Festool UK in response to my inquiry:

"Hi Peter

Thank you for your enquiry below.

We can confirm that the DX93 Sander is still available in the UK and for 2013, it will have a new part number 567203.  I have also checked the website and it does appear that it is not showing and we will inform Germany of this error.

If you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us."

Thank you Nicki!
