Demo MFT's - 800's and 1080's, both BASIC and COMPLETE's are now available from dealers @25% off list prices. This is not for "new, unused" MFT's, but for DEMO models the dealers have on hand.

Non-US members:  this seems a worldwide policy.
I just bought a complete demo MFT 800 at the price of a basic one from my usual dealer in France.
He also told me that Festool distributors are normally not allowed to sell demo tools.

Bob is correct.  The policy is typically not to allow the sell of demo units but this is an exception since there is a new generation of tables.

I bought one from Japan Woodworker and one from Woodcraft. There are a bunch of Woodcraft stores, so it may pay to call around if you're looking for one.

but now i have 3 hardware sets (edge guides/miters/edge clamps) -- anybody want to buy one?

Rockler in San Diego has a 1080 and THH Mira Mesa has a 1080. Perhaps you can arrange something.
