depth of cut with the carved 420

Hi
I am attempting to cut a 2-1/2" slot on the end of a piece of plywood. The board is over 6 ft long and therefore i cannot safely use my table saw. i also cannot safely use a circular saw as i need to end with a straight cut  If anyone know what the maximum depth of cut for the various sizes of jig saw blades that i can use in my 420 carvex i would appreciate that information

You need a blade with a 105 or higher in the model name.

You can use the blade selection wizard on our website to easily find matching blades based on material and thickness of cut.

The FSG 105, or if you want extra length for future projects, the FSG 145 would be my recommendation.

I just cut a 4x4 with the FSG145 (purchased from ToolNut) and it worked fine. Not fast, but the cut quality was better than I expected, even in slight curves.
