Depth Stop Chuck -- Not turning

I think I'm putting the chuck on properly -- in fact, I used it not too long ago without problems.  All you do is push the chuck on and twist the grey ring until it's snug, right?  Now, the bit won't even turn.  What's wrong?  It's driving me crazy.

The bit does turn when you're actually pushing into the screw. Try driving a screw with it... should work just fine. If there's no pressure on it, the bit won't turn.

It's not defective, or even malfunctioning... it's how the chuck works. When the screw is all the way in, the shaft driving the bit disengages, so the screw won't be driven any further. If you need to get the screw back out, twist the green ring while pushing into the screw, and run the drill backwards.

Another reason why I love this forum . . . no need to bother my dealer or Festool rep.  For the life of me I couldn't figure out why my new depth stop was not working and a quick search solved my problem.
