HowardH said:I've had a 735 for about 3 years and I have learned not to put anything much wider than 8" through it or it will bog down and even trip my dedicated breaker! I have to take very light passes on wider boards and it takes forever. I agree it's under powered. It's also extremely loud. I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a hammer A3-31 which will solve a host of problems.
I just recently bought the 735. Although, I don't have any other experience owning a planer, this seems up to the task. I planed a handful of 11" wide by 38" long, hard maple with no problems. It was impressive how it filled up a half of a garbage can with shavings!!
