I recently bought these two tools from a friend (in operating order) for $150.00. I have not used either one of these type machines since my Junior High Shop Class and would feel more comfortable if i had the instruction manuals. I was able to find one for the Delta, but have had no luck on the Dewalt.
If anyone has the same machine (Dewalt) and could get me a copy of the manual it will be greatly appreciated; if not, if there is a manual for a similiar model that may be helpful.
I was also wondering where folks buy their knives/get them sharpened and whether or not the aftermarket spiral heads (i.e. Sunhill Machinery) are worthwhile. I read one review of the Sunhill and it said there was "some improvement" in cut quality but for $150.00 I would like to have a better idea what the actual difference is.
I need knife setting gages for both machines and wonder where they might be available?
