Hey guys has any body used the new dewalt framing nailer yet??? Anyone any reviews compared to the paslode??
One more thing dose anybody no if dewalt are due to release a new 16 gauge finish nailer??

Hi Peter,

Ive had one a few months now , I was sent one to test for dewalt back in October. It's an amazing bit of kit , miles ahead of the paslodes. If you do a search you will find my review of it on here.

Unfortunately even though joiner1970 had the nail gun in his possession he failed to take pictures and make a video for us fellow fog members.

Check out these videos on YouTube:

Oh I forgot to say , I asked about whether they will be upgrading the 16g nailer and they have no plans yet but I bet it will happen.

Dewalt do want to do a group buy offer through a forum in the UK that I'm on but the details haven't been finalized yet. There was talk of getting a free drill body or something like that. When I asked/reminded them about it I was told they didn't want to put the offer out yet as the stock of the new guns is low. Apparently they've sold better than expected so stock is low everywhere.

Hey guys thanks for all that... I was using the paslode for a while now and  I'm sick of the noise out of them so I'm going to change to dewalt both the framing nailer and the 16 gauge nailer
Just the paslode is that bit too loud for working in private homes..

If I was u I would hold off on the dewalt second fix cus I can't see dewalt not making a new one with the new batteries.  It would be daft for them not to.  You want to use the same batteries for first and second fix gun.  Be good if dewalt do a. First and second fix package 2 batteries and one charger with first fix gun and second fix gun.

how is that gun on batteries. i find that my 4 ah batteries take a long time to charge . im not able to drain them faster but i onl have 2 so one is charging but the other is usually half fulll when i start charging the first.
i find my sds very hard on the batteries. althow it is a toll that you only use for a few holes

It lasts for ages Alan .

I will be the first in the queue if they upgrade the 16g one, we use the original ones and they are great but they will be much lighter and smaller with Li ion batteries .

Yea I think ill hold of for a bit on the 16g I was searching the web all day and can't seem to find anything on a new 16g nailer so fingers crossed they will get something out very soon

I love the dewalt 16ga pinner. The only thing is that when you have it hanging off your hip for a 12 - 15 hour shift it can start to feel heavy

As I say I don't think it will be soon. I did ask the guy I was dealing with at Dewalt and he hadn't heard anything, but then if he had maybe he didn't want to let the cat out of the bag. He did think it would be a good idea and that it would possibly make the guns smaller and lighter. Let's wait and see.

Right I found this after hours of searching and asking.. That the same team that designed the new framing nailer are after been given the green light to redesign the 16g nailer alone the lines of the framing nailer... As dewalt are thinning out there 18xps ( i think thats the name ) range  and going with the new 18/20v max 4amp range..

Seen it on the dewalt owners grop.. On another note I picked up the new framing nailer today and all I have to say is wow... A little lighter than the paslode and no where near as loud a joy to use all day.. Tumbs up from me anyway...

Well done on your purchase I'm sure the more you use it the more you will like it. Not sure about the weight though I thought it was slightly heavier than the paslode but not a lot in it.
