DF500 Anyone ever fixed baseplate centerline?

My df500 has a baseplate centerline that is considerably off.  Has anyone ever fixed this?  Did you have to replace the entire front assembly?  That appears to be a $234 fix, which makes me sick.  Not sure if that would fix the problem or not.  I'm out of warranty.  Purchased the tool used, unfortunately.  Festool just tells me to "send it in" for an estimate.  Anyone know what they charge for calibration?

Not the plastic cursor... the permanent centerline on the baseplate.  Festool says there is no way to adjust that.

How would the scribed line get off center?

It has been that way since I bought it used.  I didn't notice until I tried to use the baseplate line for mid panel shelf joinery and then later it became a problem when I purchased the domiplate.

I'm not saying that your center line isn't off, but...

Assuming the cursor is not off, have you checked the center line on the cursor to the center line on the base using a square?

Have you used calipers or some other method to measure from each side of the base to the center line, it should be 66mm based on my measurements?

Just knowing Festool's manufacturing processes and the design of the Domino, it would be unlikely for the center line on the base to be off in my opinion.

I had to adjust the plastic curser all the way over, which got it pretty dang close.    I'm actually gonna have to shave a tad off to get it perfect.  I have not put a square on it (but will tonight) but you can visually see that it is not inline with the permanent mark.  My pins were considerably off, by about the same amount as my baseplate centerline... I got those pretty close but the concentric screw won't budge any further... may need a bigger screwdriver to avoid damaging that screw, it wanted to start stripping the slot.

A bit of research on this forum shows quite a few people with this problem... most find out after they buy a domiplate.  Even Paul Marcel says his scribed line is "considerably" off in one of his posts on this site. http://festoolownersgroup.com/other...e-scg-10-self-centering-guide-for-the-domino/

Really just wandering if anyone has ever taken the steps to fix this particular problem... either by sending it back, buying a new front assembly or what.  I may try to scribe my own line, just need to take my time with that to make sure it is right.

There is a way to calibrate. I remember a thread from years ago, but I 'm not sure it was on the fog. The main thing I remember is you needed a square piece with scribed centerlines you then needed to clamp to the fence...

At this point I noticed my kapex was in need of calibration, and moved on to that... Not sure if I returned to the domino calibration (I don't think mine was out, I just wanted to check (I already calibrated the pins))

I really need to go to sleep now, but if I come across the thread tomorrow I'll put a link here.
