I have a 5 year old Midi that I've used almost daily on job sites, it doesn't owe me a thing.
Today I was on basic vacuum mode when the engine made a pathetic little sound and fizzled out. There was also a bit of a burning smell and it won't turn back on now. I don't think it's the main power cord, mostly because I've been through that failing before and the symptoms were different.
I took it apart and I can't find any dislodged wires or anything obviously amiss.
Does this seem symptomatic of anything in particular, and if so can anyone shine some light on repair options?
I'm likely to spring for a CT 26 at this point, but if I can get the MIDI repaired with relative ease and have it as my backup I will.
Thanks!
Noah
