Difference between 16 & 32 on LR-32 system?

I like Euro slides for the low resistance but they only extend about 3/4 the way. If you use long ones are you finding stuff to put behind the Systainers?

There are slides that extend more than 100%. But not the ones pictured.

They don't. What you have to do is use a set that is longer than the of length of exposure you need.
Say you need 15" of extension to get a Systainer open. Using 20" drawer guides may be enough to function. I'm not sure, just a guess. (It might take 22"?) If you run your slab all the way back, it will be more stable, since the guides are supported better. You can also store extras of things like sandpaper or a bag of Dominos, etc.

I use full extension guides on mine, which makes accessing that stuff easier, so you might need to remove the Systainer to get back there. But it would certainly work.

I didn’t think there were any full extension Euro slides but found several listings that that erroneously claimed the slides were full ex.
The Euro roller slides are typically 3/4 extension.

I wouldn’t use them for Systainer storage because they aren’t full extension.

A Systainer facing forward will need to come out 12”, not counting the lid needing to open. That would require a 16” slide. 16x.75=12.

An 18” slide might be nought to allow the top to open if the cabinet top doesn’t overhang at all. 18x.75=13.5.
The 18” slide would be the minimum and there would be 4” of empty space behind.

If the Systainer is sideways the drawer needs to open nearly 16” so a 22” slide is required. That would leave 6” of empty space next to the Systainer.

I want easy sliding motion for small drawers (around one inch high) but I want full extension so I’ll probably use the Euro slides but won’t screw them to the actual drawer. Instead there will be a panel that the slides attach to and the drawer will be more like a tray that can slide farther out on the panel.
